Anti-material
My art is anti-material.
The initial spark of an artwork begins in my mind, through physical perceptions, memory and influences of the collective consciousness.
It then takes shape within a virtual non-place.
Only when it is intended to inhabit a tangible, three-dimensional space does the artwork become physically manifested through print, almost like a body or a material reincarnation.
In this way, the creative process remains primarily psychological and perceptual, moving towards a form of dematerialisation of the artwork, where the mental and emotional experience becomes more central than its purely physical and material presence.
Artist is a thinker
I believe the artist is a thinker, and that art is an emotional testimony of life.
I like to tell the different periods of my existence through different series. Each series contains works that become traces of the self and of my vision at a particular moment in time.
Each project is accompanied by a text, like an intimate and poetic diary. For me, the dialogue between image and word is essential.
I want people to fall in love with the essence of an artwork, not only with its visual appearance, and to adopt it with care.
I mainly work with printmaking, a contemporary medium that allows for an elegant and clean surface, intense colours, and great freedom in the choice of materials and dimensions.
I am interested in elevating the print by creating artworks that are conceived from the beginning to exist as prints.
Printmaking deeply represents our time. It exists in an intermediate space between the material and the digital, between the possibility of infinite reproduction and the human desire for absolute uniqueness.
Through this medium, I try to shift attention away from the fetishism of material painting and towards vision, sensitivity, and the story behind the artwork.
Every artwork is entirely created by me, without the use of artificial intelligence.
I pursue a personal exploration of the self, not in an egocentric way, but as an empathetic attempt to reflect the identities of others through my own experience.
I believe art can still be an authentic space for poetic, emotional and tangible evolution.
I want to create images capable of slowing down the gaze and creating a pause, even if only for a moment, within the fast and superficial rhythm of the present.
My art is a reflection of myself, sometimes directly through self-portraiture, sometimes through others.
I deeply believe in empathy, both as a human quality and as an artistic tool.
My work can be dark, ironic, conceptual, emotional, technical and naïve at the same time, with a subtle presence of kitsch that introduces a more playful and vulnerable dimension.
Art must be authentic to the person who creates it.
Like an indigenous plant that tells the story of the territory and nature surrounding it.

There is probably no simple answer.
Art is not only about what we see, but also about the journey and the story behind an artwork. Sometimes a big story, sometimes a small one.
